Welcome to FIT4Life!
The Food Insecurity Team, Inc. (FIT) was officially founded in February 2023 to support individuals and families in need. Our mission is to provide food and basic essentials by building strong partnerships with agencies, businesses, civic groups, and community organizations.
For over six years, FIT has worked with many partners, including New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, the Kind Mouse, the Wright Group Unlimited, ZORAD Consultative Services, WIC of Pinellas County, the Chapman Foundation, Feeding Tampa Bay, Yak’s Food Obsession, and local public service agencies. We also thank donors such as Bo Bichette, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Marlo Hampton, Richard and Toni Gelman, Gary and Mary Ann Renfrow, and several anonymous supporters.
Beyond food distribution, FIT hosts family-centered events during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, which are always well-attended.
FIT also values education. With support from Tampa Bay Watch and St. Petersburg College (SPC), families have taken part in eco tours, and 14 high school graduates have received scholarships—11 for two-year tuition at SPC and 3 for $1,000 each.
We are proud to serve our community and are grateful to our partners, volunteers, and supporters. Together, we continue to “Feed Our Future.”
We invite new partners to join us in our vision of promoting Healthy Kids. Your support is vital to our ongoing efforts.
